Why EW Carter?

Ed, who sells me postcards, photographs and other ephemera bought these several years ago from a Mrs. Berg. She had a store on West 7th Street in St. Paul.

There are about fifty glass negatives. I picked out the most interesting ones for display here. The rest are people shots.

I haven’t been able to find an EW Carter in St. Paul or Minneapolis around 1900 from quick search at the St. Paul and Minneapolis libraries. It sure would be interesting to find out more about his St. Paul/Minneapolis and Montana connections. If you have some information about Carter, please click here to email me.

Photos on the E. W. Carter site have been digitally enhanced to restore some of their original splendor.
Enhancements done by Bob Smith. Click on thumbnails to view full-size images.
